She finds it the easiest to read his thoughts and commands and to fight in sync with his orders. Rather than using her hypnotic patterns to stun opponents so she can avoid them, she flashes them aggressively to daze targets before charging in.
Evolution to a Malamar has refined her combat techniques still further. Her favoured tactic is still to dizzy and disorient opponents before racing in to press her advantage, a tactic that Kimmuriel wholly supports. She is still terribly affectionate towards Kimmuriel.
Kimmuriel has several names for his starter. They include haszak, streeka and ust, the drow words for 'illithid', 'fearless' and 'first' respectively. He uses 'streeka' or 'ust' the most.
